Dear Students,
Requests for excused course additions, requests for conflicting courses, and Shiningstar applications—course addition requests—must be submitted to Room D120 during office hours, provided they are signed and delivered in person (The hours for submitting these requests in Room D-120 are listed below). These requests will not be accepted at the Department Chair’s office. The forms, which must be completed and signed by the student, are attached.
Requests for course additions based on reasons other than those listed in Article 20-c of the YTÜ Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Education and Teaching Regulations will be rejected.
In accordance with the decision adopted by the YTÜ Senate regarding the YTÜ Course Registration Principles, the following principles apply to overlapping courses, depending on whether they have been taken previously:
a.) If two practical courses conflict, these courses cannot be taken simultaneously, regardless of whether they have been taken previously.
b.) If one course is a practical course and the other is a theoretical course, these courses may be taken together provided that the theoretical course has been taken previously and the student has received a passing grade other than F0.
c.) If two theoretical courses overlap, these courses may be taken provided that at least one of them has a passing grade other than F0.
Reviewed requests will be posted on our website at regular intervals. If you do not see your name on the list of results, please check the next announcement.
Petitions submitted digitally via email will not be considered for evaluation.
