The “Shining Star” program, which took effect as of the 2023-2023 academic year, is designed to bridge the gap between undergraduate and graduate education in our department. The Shining Star program is an integrated master’s program designed for high-achieving students who wish to begin their master’s studies while still pursuing their undergraduate degree. It enables high-achieving students with an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher to take courses from the master’s program within the graduate department of their registered undergraduate program, thereby allowing them to graduate with a master’s degree.
