Information Regarding Graduate Admission Exams for the Department of Architecture
The announcement below provides information regarding the evaluation processes, as well as the location, date, and time of the written entrance exam and/or oral interview, for applicants who have applied or will apply to our graduate programs for the Fall 2026–2027 semester.

The documents candidates are required to bring, in addition to their identification, for the oral and written exams of the Master’s, Doctoral, and Integrated Doctoral Programs are listed below.
COMPUTER-BASED ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM
Candidates taking the exam for the Master’s, Doctoral, and Integrated Doctoral Programs must bring their undergraduate/master’s transcripts, portfolio, resume, statement of purpose, and a reference letter (signed and in a sealed envelope) in printed form and submit them before the written exam.
BUILDING RESEARCH AND PLANNING PROGRAM
Applicants to the Doctoral and Integrated Doctoral Programs must bring printed copies of their resume, statement of purpose, letter of recommendation, and portfolio with them.
HOUSING PRODUCTION AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
Candidates taking the Master’s written exam must submit their resumes and transcripts at the end of the exam.
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN PROGRAM
Candidates taking the Master’s sketch exam must bring their drawing materials with them. Candidates taking the oral exam for the Doctoral and Integrated Doctoral Programs must bring printed copies of their Master’s theses, portfolios, and resumes with them.
HISTORY AND THEORY OF ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM
Candidates taking written exams in the Master’s, Doctoral, and Integrated Doctoral Programs must bring printed copies of their resumes and statements of purpose.
SURVEY AND RESTORATION PROGRAM
Candidates taking the exam for the Master’s Program must bring their portfolio, resume, letter of recommendation, and a statement of purpose briefly outlining the topic of the master’s thesis they plan to pursue; Candidates taking the oral exam for the Doctoral and Integrated Doctoral Programs must bring a printed copy of their portfolio, resume, Master’s transcript, a letter of recommendation, and a statement of purpose indicating the doctoral thesis topic they plan to pursue along with the faculty member they intend to work with, in printed form.
ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM
Candidates taking the written exam for the Master’s Program will submit their resumes and transcripts at the end of the exam. Candidates taking the exam for the Doctoral and Integrated Doctoral Programs must bring printed copies of their portfolio, resume, undergraduate and master’s transcripts, and, if available, a letter of recommendation.
BUILDING PHYSICS PROGRAM
Candidates taking the exam for the Master’s Program must bring their resumes. Candidates taking the oral exam for the Doctoral and Integrated Doctoral Programs must bring their portfolios, resumes, and optional letters of recommendation in printed form.
